I invite you to gently engage with this work. Trace the faces, touch the stitches, feel how softness can act as a container for violence.

This piece was made in consideration of the my ethnicity, an analysis of which was informed by witnessing global atrocity. It speaks to manifestations of current colonial trauma and how inherited colonial trauma affects self-actualization.

Ours offers a tangible meditation on harm caused by forced migration and land division, on how religion is weaponized, and on how acts of war, such as withholding life-giving resources, alters the psyche of generations.
